The Weight Management Pilot Program (WMP) is an annual legislative mandate implemented by the Florida Department of Management Services to help improve the long-term health and quality of life for employees and their families enrolled in the State Group Insurance Program.

It is an application-based program for which approved participants are eligible for coverage of FDA-approved weight management medications as prescribed by their provider. The current FDA approved weight management medications covered for WMP members are Bupropion-naltrexone (Contrave), Liraglutide (Saxenda), Orlistat (Xenical, Alli), Phentermine-topiramate (Qsymia), Semaglutide (Wegovy), Setmelanotide (Imcivree), and Tirzepatide (Zepbound).

The application period usually coincides with the annual open enrollment period in late October. For more information, please visit the State Group Insurance Program Weight Management Program page.
